課程概述

This course is designed to provide you with knowledge and experiences in career path preparation, professional ethics, life/career/profession management, team workmanship, professional image building of veterinary leadership and management. 

課程目標
Provide a highly interactive curriculum involving an array of learning formats to present and reinforce concepts of servant-leadership, emotional intelligence, communication and teamwork, to promote peer-to-peer collaboration and reflective thinking. Emotional intelligence model as self-management, social awareness, self-awareness, and relational competence which will be thoroughly explored and experienced in the class.


At the conclusion of this course, the student will have learned:

Why experiential learning is effective?
Management basic concepts:
Servant leadership
Principles: listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to growth, building community
Self-awareness
Principles: emotional self-awareness, accurate self-assessment, self-confidence
Self management
Principles: emotional self-control, trustworthiness, conscientiousness, adaptability, optimism, achievement orientation, initiative
Social awareness
Principles: empathy, organizational awareness, service orientation
Relational Competence
Principles: developing others, inspirational leadership, influence, communication, change catalyst, conflict management, building bonds, teamwork and collaboration
Communication skills
Principles: core value understanding, differentiating empathy and sympathy, body language, and other non-verbal languages.
Burnout prevention
Veterinary marketing and other considerations 
課程要求
Fellowship and follower-ship skill development is prerequisite skills to servant-leadership are explored through four areas of personal development.
Homework and In-Class Performance(40%)
